The glass may crack
Impact glass is not marketed here as unbreakable. When struck, the glass can fracture. The laminated interlayer is intended to help retain fragments and preserve the barrier as part of a tested assembly.
The frame must retain the glass
Glass alone is not an impact window. Frame members, glazing retention, hardware, mullions, and anchors must work together under the documented test conditions.
Pressure follows impact
Wind pressure acts inward and outward on the opening. Product approvals identify size, pressure, glazing, and installation limits; the project team must select a configuration within those limits.
Installation completes the system
